Recommended flight TK‑15 by Turkish Airlines, departure from Moscow at 04:25 am on February 6, transfer in Istanbul, then flight AR‑1882 by Aerolineas Argentinas with transfer in Buenos Aires, arrival in Ushuaia on February 7 at 08:05 am or another flight arriving no later than 16:30.

Day 2 – 5. February 22-25, 2024. Drake Strait
Departure to sea. Crossing the Drake Strait.

Day 6. February 26, 2024. South Shetland Islands and Trinity Island
South Shetland Islands. "Gateway" to Antarctica.
Here we will begin our acquaintance with these unexplored lands. We will see two kinds of penguins, funny fur seals and huge elephant seals.
Trinity Island. A colony of chinstrap penguins, huge grottoes and bird colonies.

Visit to abandoned whaling bases on Deception Island. Passage to Enterprise Bay.

Landing, trekking, taking pictures of representatives of the local fauna

Day 10. March 1, 2024. Orne Harbour and Cuverville
Going south. Humpback whale watching. Climbing the mountain in Orne Harbor, watching the penguins.
Cuverville Island and adjacent waters. Watching penguins and searching for leopard seals. Huge glaciers in Paradise Bay.

Day 11. March 2, 2024. Glacier at Neko Harbor, Argentine and Chilean polar station, Paradise Bay.

Day 12. March 3, 2024. English polar stations Port Lockroy and Damoy Point, Lemaire Straight
Lemaire Strait, Pleno Bay, Peterman and Goodyear Islands. Colonies of Adélie penguins and subantarctic penguins. It is home to many seals, including leopard seals.

Day 13. March 4, 2024. Vernadsky Polar Station.

Aurora expedition motor sailing yacht

In 2017, the yacht was reconstructed. Aurora is a reliable expedition yacht, equipped with everything you need for long-distance voyages in harsh conditions.

The yacht "RUSARC AURORA" has a steel hull (steel thickness is 4 mm.), Three watertight bulkheads located in the bow of the yacht, two heating systems for the cabin: water and air.

The yacht has six comfortable double and triple cabins, a galley, a spacious common room. In the bow there is a sauna and two separate latrines. There is also hot water, refrigerator, washing machine.

The yacht is equipped with modern radio navigation equipment, radar, Simrad autopilot, all necessary rescue equipment (individual and general).

Each cabin has a separate bed, storage space, 220 V socket.

Take with you:

ATTENTION! The air temperature here ranges from 0 to +5 C. On the water and with the wind, the air temperature is felt much lower than it actually is. The weather will be very changeable. Strong winds, high waves and rain and snow precipitation are expected.

Warm fleece and thermal underwear.

Thermosocks (several pairs).

Rubber high boots with a warm inner insert for walking on the shore.

Shoes for walking inside the yacht (sneakers).

Parka, raincoat, pants and things made of waterproof materials.

Gloves (preferably 2 pairs).

Sunglasses (with a rope so as not to lose it in the sea).
