(subject to availability, not guaranteed)TRAVEL PROGRAM: tour to bangladesh ToneDay 1. November 1, 2026 (Sunday). DHAKA – SONARGAON (40 km, 1 hour)Morning arrival in Dhaka, transfer, and check-in the hotel. After lunch, we head for a tour of Sonargaon, the ancient capital of Bengal.
We will visit the Goaldi Mosque, the Sonargaon Folk Art and Craft Museum, then embark on a boat ride along the Meghna River to explore a picturesque rural island with a charming village. In the evening, we return to Dhaka.

Day 2. November 2, 2026 (Monday). DHAKA AND AN OLD DHAKAAfter breakfast, we begin a city tour of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. We will visit the Kawran Bazaar, one of the largest markets for vegetables, fruits, and fish in Dhaka. Here, we will witness daily life at the market located near the railway tracks. Next, we will stop at the National Parliament Building and head to charming Old Dhaka. We will stroll through colorful alleys and market streets to witness local life at its best. We will then pass by the Sadarghat Boat Terminal and cross the river by rowboat to a shipyard. After exploring the shipyard where ships are repaired and recycled, we will return to Sadarghat by boat and visit the Armenian Church and Star Mosque. In the afternoon, we will visit Lalbagh Fort, then the Dhakeshwari Temple and Curzon Hall.

DHAKA – KAKRAN – DHAMRAI – MONGLA (300 km, 6 hours)Early departure from the hotel to the pottery village of Kakran. Here, we will see beautiful pottery and traditional potters still working without modern technology. Next, we will visit Dhamrai to observe the famous brass artisans, whose craft dates back to the 7th-century Pala Dynasty, and remains unchanged to this day. After lunch, we head to Mongla, where we will board our boat to prepare for the Sundarbans adventure.

SUNDARBANS MANGROVE FOREST: KATKA – JAMTOLA BEACH – KOCHIKHALI BEACH – DIMAR CHAR ISLANDAfter breakfast, we explore the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest. Our first stop is the beautiful Katka, followed by a visit to the stunning Jamtola Beach, where we will enjoy the beauty of mangrove trees meeting the ocean. Next, we head to another remarkable beach, Kochikhali, near Hiron Point, then stroll through the pristine island of Dimar Char/Dublar Char. After sunset, we go on a night safari. With great luck, we may even spot a Bengal tiger. We will spend the evening in the forest and stay overnight on the boat.

SUNDARBANS – ANDHARMANIK – MONGLA – NARAIL – DHAKA (300 km, 6 hours)In the morning, we continue exploring the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest. We visit Andharmanik, home to royal Bengal tigers and many other wild animals and birds, including the spotted deer, a symbol of the Sundarbans. We will also visit local villages to learn about life at the edge of the world’s largest mangrove forest. Then, we head back to Mongla, where we transfer from the boat to a bus and begin our journey back to Dhaka. On the way, we stop in Narail, where we meet fishermen and go on a fishing boat to observe the traditional fishing method using trained otters. After fishing, we return to the village and learn more about the fishermen’s way of life. The road to Dhaka is long but picturesque, passing through charming villages and green fields where we can observe rural life. We return to Dhaka by evening.

DHAKA – SRIMANGAL – LAWACHARA RESERVE (200 km, 5 hours)This morning, we head to Srimangal, arriving around 1:00 PM. After lunch at a local restaurant, we travel through a tea plantation to Lawachara National Park. We will take a short walk in the park and visit the Khasi tribal village located within it. We will meet the tribe in traditional dress and observe their daily work of collecting betel leaves. Later, we proceed to our resort-style hotel, where we will have dinner and stay overnight.

SRIMANGAL – RAKHER UPOBASH FESTIVAL – DHAKA (200 km, 5 hours)We will leave for Lavachara National Park this morning. We will take a short walk through the park and visit the Khasi village, located inside the park. We will meet with the tribe members in their traditional clothing and see them collecting betel leaves as part of their daily routine.
At around 10 a.m., we will head to Baradi and arrive around 4 p.m. There, we will visit Lokanath Temple to observe the preparations for the upcoming festival. The festival starts immediately after sunset (around 5:20 p.m.).
Thousands of candles and incense will be lit by the devotees around the sacred temple as part of the religious event. This is an opportunity for believers to pray for themselves, friends, and family. The number of candles a person lights depends on how many people they pray for. On the festival day, people observe a fast until the end of the ceremony.
After the festival, we will return to Dhaka.
