TRAVEL PROGRAM: ttour to Burkina Faso

Day 1. March 26, 2026 (Thursday). OUAGADOUGOU

Arrival in Ouagadougou with international flight, pick-up from the airport and transfer to the hotel for rest. Meeting the guide and briefing on the trip.
Overnight at hotel Nong Taaba or similar.

— Royal Air Maroc, departs from Moscow at 7:35 am on March 26, layover in Casablanca 10 hours 50 minutes, arrival in Ouagadougou at 1:15 am on March 27, or

Day 2. March 27, 2026 (Friday). OUAGADOUGOU – GURUNSI – TIEBELE – PO –OUAGADOUGOU (360 km)

After breakfast, early departure to Tiébélé, visit the beautiful villages on the way. Picnic lunch en route and arrival to the beautiful little village of Gurunsi on the border with Ghana. Gurunsi village is made up of beautiful dwellings. With our local guide we will visit prince of Tiébélé whose colorful boxes of royal courts of Gurunsi are famous. Take some memorial pictures and attend the traditional dance of Gurunsi.
Return to Ouagadougou with stop, if time permits, to visit Binger's hut in Tiakane, at 7 km west of Pô, in the province of Nahouri. It is a true jewel of traditional Burkinabe architecture with a rich history linked to the French explorer Binger who found refuge there in 1887, while he was being pursued by the inhabitants of Tiébélé.
Back to Ouagadougou and overnight at hotel Nong Taaba or similar.

Day 3. March 28, 2026 (Saturday). OUAGADOUGOU – SABOU – BOBO DIOULASO (355 km)

After breakfast, departure to Bobo Dioulaso. Stop in Sabou to visit white mosque and crocodile pond. After photo moment with crocodile, keep driving to Bobo.
Arrival and check-in at the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon we will organize the traditional wrestling with traditional music. We will also visit the old quarter centenary adobe mosque. Visit local market with traditional beer and the sacred fish which embodies many things.
Overnight at hotel Two Palmiers or similar.

Day 4. March 29, 2026 (Sunday). BOBO DIOULASO – BONI – BOBO DIOULASO (50 km)

After breakfast, departure for Boni. Upon arrival, we attend the performance mask dance of Bwa, or Bwaba, people at the public square: different types of masks and traditional dances for some 4 hours. The Bwaba masks originate from the southwest of Burkina Faso. They also live in the east with the Marka Dafing and in the west with the Bobo people, as well as in the southeast of this country, owned by ethnic groups grouped under the name of "Gurunsi". The first release of the masks will be presented by two types of masks: those who use "leaf masks" completely covering the body called "Nwantantay," considered the oldest and most sacred, because it embodies the divinity "Do" and made among the Bwaba people of all regions.
Followed by another release of the masks, "Lanlé" carved in wood and decorated with fibers, they are often linked to the cult of the god Lanlé. The largest, called "mask-plates" or "mask-boards", are particularly impressive.
After lunch we will continue to attend the series of outings and mask dances with the "N'wimbe" fiber masks, which peculiarity concerns clan and family myths. They represent many animals (hyena, antelope, warthog, wild buffalo, monkey, crocodile, snake, butterfly, fish, bird, owl, insects ...) and some humans (the leper, the madman and the woman). We will have the opportunity to take best photos and then return to Bobo in the evening.

Day 5. March 30, 2026 (Monday). BOBO DIOULASO – FABEDOUGOU – LAKE TENGRELA – BANFORA (120 km)

After breakfast, departure for Banfora, arrival and drive to Fabedougou for visiting the domes with his beautiful landscapes.
After lunch in a restaurant in the city continuation to visit the Lake Tengrela for a pirogue ride and to approach the hippos.
Then in evening, return to hotel in Banfora. Overnight at hotel Canne à Sucre or similar.

Day 6. March 31, 2026 (Tuesday). BANFORA – OUAGADOUGOU (430 km)

After breakfast, departure to Ouagadougou. Lunch upon arrival.
We will visit the Palace of Mogho Naba, the artisanal village and the historical monuments, as well as Music museum, the artisanal center and market.
Back to hotel for day use (shower) and transfer to the airport.

* The order of visits and excursions, as well as logistics of the expedition, can be modified according to external local conditions (i.e. schedule of festivals or ceremonies, state of security, state of roads, etc.). If some visits and/or tours could not be done due to external conditions, they will be replaced when possible.

** The participant of expedition to Burkina Faso must be motivated to be respectful to the culture of local tribes and peoples, be aware of the objectives of the trip and possible program changes depending on external local conditions, security conditions and any other reasons, be able to adapt to the new environment and culture.
