Day 1. January 11, 2027 (Monday) / March 3, 2027 (Wednesday). ARRIVAL IN BANGUI
Arrival in Bangui. Meeting with your local guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in, dinner, and overnight at Obangui Hotel.

Day 2. January 12, 2027 (Tuesday) / March 4, 2027 (Thursday). BANGUI – BOALI WATERFALLS – BANGUI
Breakfast, then departure from Bangui to visit the Boali Waterfalls from 08:00 to 15:30, including lunch at the waterfalls.
Return to Bangui, visit to the Russian House in Bangui, the handicraft market, and the main Central African Republic market in the city center.
Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Obangui Hotel.

Day 3. January 13, 2027 (Wednesday) / March 5, 2027 (Friday). BANGUI – BAYANGA – YAMDOUBE – BAKA PYGMY CAMP IN DZANGA-SANGHA
Breakfast and transfer to the airport. Morning flight from Bangui to Bayanga in Dzanga-Sangha National Park (approx. 2 hours). Arrival in Bayanga.
Transfer to the village of Yamdoubé, where we begin our trek to a Baka pygmy forest camp. We enter the rainforest on a 2–3 hour hike, crossing three rivers along the way. During the trek, we learn about medicinal plants and their traditional uses.
Arrival at the deep forest camp and set up tents. In the afternoon, fishing with Baka women.
At night, participation in dances and storytelling sessions around the fire.
Dinner prepared by our expedition chef and overnight in tents.

Day 4. January 14, 2027 (Thursday) / March 6, 2027 (Saturday). BAKA PYGMIES IN DZANGA-SANGH
ABreakfast, then departure on foot toward hunting grounds to participate in a traditional Baka net hunting activity.
We will also take part in honey gathering, as well as the collection of roots and medicinal plants. We will observe the traditional honey harvesting process from enormous forest trees — a unique technique mastered by the Baka pygmies.
Return to camp for lunch.
In the evening, time spent with the Baka community, including participation in their famous traditional dances, where the elusive and sacred forest spirit of the Baka — Ejengi — is believed to appear.

Day 5. January 15, 2027 (Friday) / March 7, 2027 (Sunday). BAKA PYGMIES – YAMDOUBÉ – DOLI LODGE
After breakfast, we swim in the river and witness the famous Baka musical performance — the “water drums”, performed by women and children directly in the river.
We say goodbye to the Baka community and hike back through the rainforest to Yamdoubé village (2–3 hours). We visit a large village of more than 1,000 Baka people. Here there is still much to observe: a local market with bushmeat brought by hunters, a cinema hall reminiscent of the 1980s, and traditional Baka houses.
Transfer to the Doli Lodge.
Check-in at the lodge. After lunch, enjoy the idyllic landscapes of Dzanga-Sangha National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6. January 16, 2027 (Saturday) / March 8, 2027 (Monday). GORILLA TREK IN BAI HOKO – DOLI LODGE
Early breakfast, then drive approximately 50 km deep into the forest of Dzanga-Sangha National Park to Bai Hoko, the starting point of the gorilla trek. Briefing and permit formalities before the trek.
We set out in search of western lowland gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour, depending on the location of the group.
We may spend up to 1 hour with the gorillas.
Due to strict regulations, only three participants are allowed per gorilla family visit. Therefore, the group will be split into smaller teams: some participants will visit gorillas on this day, while others will visit forest elephants instead, and rotate the following day.
Return to Doli Lodge, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7. January 17, 2027 (Sunday) / March 9, 2027 (Tuesday). DOLI LODGE – SANGO PEOPLE – ELEPHANT SAFARI IN DZANGA BAI – DOLI LODGE
After breakfast, a scenic canoe trip in dugout boats to observe the Sango people processing raffia palm and producing palm wine in the forest — a traditional production process.
Early lunch, then departure at 12:30 for Dzanga Bai safari. Arrival at the camp and continuation by vehicle (approx. 45 minutes) to reach the Dzanga Bai area.
2–3 hours of wildlife observation, including forest elephants, buffalo, sitatunga antelopes, bongo antelopes, and a wide variety of birds.
Dzanga Bai is a truly unique location, and this elephant safari will remain one of the most memorable highlights of the expedition.
Return to Doli Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8. January 18, 2027 (Monday) / March 10, 2027 (Wednesday). DZANGA-SANGHA NATIONAL PARK – BANGUI – DEPARTURE FLIGHT
Breakfast and check-out.
Morning or midday transfer by small charter aircraft from Bayanga back to Bangui. Arrival in the afternoon. Free time in Bangui.
We may visit the Russian Centre in the Central African Republic, a souvenir market, or other locations missed on Day 2, or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Evening transfer to the airport. International departure flight.
