HANOI – CO LOA FESTIVAL – HANOIToday, after breakfast, we will head to the An Duong Vuong Temple, located in Dong Anh, a suburb of Hanoi, to take part in the traditional Co Loa Festival.
The Co Loa Festival is based on the legend of King An Duong Vuong, the ruler of the ancient state of Au Lac, who received a magical crossbow from the golden turtle Kim Quy. This crossbow had the power to destroy thousands of enemies with a single shot. However, a tragedy occurred when the king’s daughter, My Chau, revealed the secret of the weapon to her husband, which led to the fall of the Co Loa citadel in 208 BCE. Upon learning the reason for his defeat, An Duong killed his daughter and then took his own life.
The festival begins early in the morning.
A procession dressed in traditional attire, carrying flags, fans, and ceremonial umbrellas, is led by the chief officiant in blue robes and a ceremonial hat. The procession makes its way to the speaker’s house to bring the ceremonial script to the temple. The atmosphere is solemn and majestic. The streets are filled with flags and people carrying palanquins, creating a vivid spring scene with dazzling shades of red.

In the afternoon, we will head to a local market.

During the ascent, we will have the opportunity to visit Bich Van Pagoda, a sacred site where, according to legend, heaven and earth meet. From the summit, the view is breathtaking — on clear days, one can even see the mountains of China to the north and Laos to the south.
Please note that weather conditions at the top can be harsh — expect low temperatures and possible precipitation. It is recommended to bring warm clothing and waterproof footwear.

In the morning, we will head to Trang An, a unique natural site recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. Located in Ninh Binh Province, this scenic complex is a breathtaking sight: majestic limestone karst peaks with sheer cliffs rising up to 200 meters above the ground and water.
The natural beauty of the area is truly awe-inspiring: dense tropical forests cover the mountain slopes, intertwining with rice fields and winding rivers. It creates a stunning landscape, like a patchwork quilt, where nature’s colors blend together in perfect harmony.
Next, we will explore the historical heritage of Vietnam in the ancient city of Hoa Lu. This site was the first centralized feudal state of the country, founded at the end of the 10th century. Although the ancient citadel has only partially survived, you can still see the well-preserved temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties.
The architectural legacy of these eras is embodied in the majestic temples that still rise above the endless rice fields. This place offers a chance to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient Vietnamese culture and feel the grandeur of historical times, when a powerful empire once thrived here.
Return to Hanoi and overnight stay.

Halong Bay is the jewel of the Gulf of Tonkin in the South China Sea, located in Quang Ninh Province. This extraordinary natural site is not only listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also recognized as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World in 2011.
Upon arrival, we will be captivated by the incredible beauty of this place — majestic limestone islands rising dramatically from turquoise waters, creating a truly unique landscape. The Vietnamese call it the “Bay of a Thousand Islands,” and each of these rocky formations has its own story and name.
After arriving, we will board a luxurious junk boat, where comfortable cabins and a delicious lunch on the open deck await us. Our two-day cruise through the bay will allow us to fully enjoy its natural splendor.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinnerAccommodation included: Overnight stay in a comfortable cabin onboardDay 8. February 28, 2026 (Saturday). HALONG BAY – HALONG – HANOI (140 km, approx. 2 hours)It is recommended to start the day with a hot cup of tea and a stunning sunrise on the upper deck of the junk boat.
Early morning in Halong Bay is a magical time — the limestone karsts slowly emerge from the morning mist, each island revealing its unique shape and hue, while the silence and stillness of the bay create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Today we will continue our cruise through the bay, taking in its majestic scenery.
By noon, we will return to Halong City and depart for Hanoi.
In Hanoi, we will enjoy a walking tour of the city’s main sights, including the famous 36 Old Quarters — the historical center where each street specializes in a particular type of goods — and Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of the old city, surrounded by gardens and temples.
The highlight of the day will be a visit to the Water Puppet Theater — a unique Vietnamese art form where puppet-actors “perform” on water. The stories are based on folklore, historical events, and scenes from everyday life. Live traditional music adds to the special atmosphere. The performance takes place on a stage with a water basin.
Meals included: breakfastAccommodation included: Hanoi Tirant Hotel 4*Day 9. March 1, 2026 (Sunday). HOI LIM FESTIVAL IN TIEN DUToday, we will head to one of the most famous festivals in the country – the Hoi Lim Festival.
Held in the Thien Du area of Bac Ninh Province, about 20 kilometers from Hanoi, the Lim Festival takes place every year for 2 or 3 days, starting on the 12th or 13th day (with the main events on this date) of the first lunar month. Over its 300 years of existence, the Lim Festival has become one of the most well-known festivals in Northern Vietnam.
The most exciting part of the Lim Festival in Vietnam is the Quan Ho singing, which was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2009. Quan Ho singing has been performed in Vietnam since the 12th century, on various stages such as pagoda courtyards, public houses, hills, and even boats. All singers are dressed in traditional costumes, singing alternately in pairs (one man and one woman) or in groups. During their performance, the singers interact with the audience and offer them betel and areca.
In addition to Quan Ho singing, the Lim Festival features numerous traditional competitions, fairs, and folk games, such as human chess, swing riding, wrestling, blindfold games, lion dances, rooster fights, and much more. There is also an interesting weaving contest where the locals weave while simultaneously singing Quan Ho.

We will continue our exploration of Angkor at Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples in the entire complex. Giant trees have grown their roots through the walls and doorways of the temple, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. It is here, at Ta Prohm, that we can understand what the French explorers must have seen when they discovered the ancient city in the jungle. Ta Prohm was intentionally left in a semi-natural state, preserved by nature. This temple was also used as a filming location for the famous Hollywood movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
After lunch, we will visit the most famous temple – Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992, known for its colossal size, perfect geometry, and magnificent architectural solutions.
