Cost of one day helicopter excursion: to Valley of Geysers - 44000 rubles per person, to Kuril lake - 42000 rubles per person (minimum 1 person).

Cost of one-day rent of motor boat for deep water fishing: 49000 rubles per boat (minimum 1 person).

Cost of one-day tour by SUV to Vachkazhets volcano, with meals included: 8500 rubles per person (minimum 4 people).

Cost of one-day trip to Khalaktyrsky beach on Pacific ocean: 3000 rubles per person (minimum 3 people). Additionally, on the ocean you can go surfing (2.5 hours - 2800 rubles), or take a horse ride (2.5 hours - 2500 rubles, children under 12 years – 2000 rubles)

Day 0. July 11, 2020. Flight to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Flight to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
* The most comfortable flight from Moscow is Aeroflot airlines on July 11 at 16:45 with arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 10 a.m. on July 12 or Rossiya airlines on July 11 or with arrival at 13:10 on July 12).

Day 1. July 12, 2020. Acquaintance with Kamchatka
In the morning meeting with the group at the airport of Elizovo town. Visiting fish market. Transfer to Malki tourist base. On the way we stop at Sokoch village and taste legendary patty-cakes. Accommodation at tourist base with thermal swimming pool or small private hotel in case of small group up to 8 persons. In the evening swimming in natural thermal spring and jumping into ice cold river.
Meals: lunch, dinner.
Accommodation: guest house.

Day 2. July 13, 2020. Run on the river and river fishing
Morning char fishing from a boat on Poperechka, Klyuchevka or Bystraya river in Malki village. In the afternoon set out for Tolbachik volcano. Transfer to Milkovo (370km, way time 3 hours).
On the way, we can visit the local history museum in Milkovo - one of the best in Kamchatka.
Overnight in a cozy guest house in Milkovo.

Day 3. July 14, 2020. Tolbachik volcano and Dead forest
Morning transfer to the foot of Plosky Tolbachik volcano (way time 5-6 hours), where there are red volcanic cones, solidified volcanic bombs, endless lava flows of bizarre forms, ash fields of various colors and enormous areas covered with burned forest. Unordinary landscape in the area of Plosky Tolbachik volcano seems to be a nonearthly view and compared to moon. Walk along north entries of Big Tolbachik Fissure Eruption of 1975-1976. Lunch cooked using the volcanic heat.
Moving to lava flows resulting from a fracture eruption in 2012-2013. Transfer to lava streams formed after fissure eruption 2012-2013. Walk around lava streams and cones, visiting new lava way caves. In one of the caves the temperature is like in a sauna!
Setting up a camping in the Dead Forest. Overnight in tents.

Day 4. July 15, 2020. Ascent to Plosky Tolbachik volcan Ascent to Plosky Tolbachik volcano col (approx 3000m), one of the most beautiful and amazing volcanoes of Kamchatka. Ascension takes about 6-7 hours. Distance 12 km, elevation changes is 1500 meters. About 1-2 hours walk along the edge of enormous crater of caldera type, with diameter 1.8 km, which was formed during eruption in 1975-1976. Descent takes about 3-4 hours. Returning to the camp. Overnight in tents.

Day 5. July 16, 2020. Evens in Menede After breakfast we remove tents and set out for Esso village (way time about 6-7 hours). On the way we visit the most interesting places in the Dead Forest near the Tolbachik volcano. Visit ethnographic Menedek village of Even people. Evens - one of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka who came to the peninsula in the 19th century from the banks of Lena River. Evens are a distinctive people with their own culture, the basis of which is reindeer husbandry and fishing. Traditional lunch and vivid ethnic program about 3 hours. In the evening accommodation at tourist base with thermal water swimming pool.

Day 6. July 17, 2020. Rafting in Ess In the morning drive (about one hour) to the rafting start point on Bystraya river in Esso. Among 67 rivers of Kamchatka called Bistraya (Fast), the river in Esso is best for rafting. There are 33 rapids On this 30 kilometers long rated run. Depending on the water level, there are rapids of 3 and 4 of difficulty category. About 7 hours.Total duration of the activity with lunch is about 7 hours. Transfer to Milkovo village (about 3 hours). Accommodation in a cozy guest house.

Day 7. July 18, 2020. Sea trip in Avachinskaya bay, sea fishin Transfer (about 5 hours) to harbor of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Sea trip (about 6 hours) along the shore of Avachinskaya bay by "Three brothers" rocks with going to open ocean to Starichkov island. Watching colonies of birds, motor boat excursion around the island, sea fishing, lunch with fish and crabs.
Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, check in in a modern guest house with its own territory and a steam bath (steam bath can be ordered separately) or the Hotel Comfort.

Day 8. July 19, 2020. Reserve day. (Helicopter tour or deep water fishing, or quad bikes)
Reserve day. Optional helicopter excursion to Valley of Geysers ,one of the most beautiful geyser fields in the world, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, or to Kuril lake, the habitat of the Kamchatka largest colony of brown bears. Also you can go deep water fishing, or take a tour by SUVs to Vachkazhets volcano. You can also set off to Khalaktyrsky beach on Pacific ocean (surfing, horse ride) or walk around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, visiting Voccano museum.

Day 9. July 20, 2020. Ascent to Gorely volcan Transfer via picturesque Viluchinsky pass (about 4-5 hours) to caldera of Gorely volcano. Ascension to Gorely volcano (1829 m) takes about 2-2.5 hours. Explore craters within 2 hours. Descent to the camping - about 1.5 hours.
Gorely volcano is situated in picturesque caldera of 13 km diameter. It has 11 different craters at its top. Edges of some craters cross each other and form a fantastical pattern. Main craters are surrounded by sheer walls 150-200 m high, have well-like form and filled with acid lakes.
Transfer (about 1 hour) and accommodation in the Jaeger house (very basic conditions, but so romantic!), snugly located on Tarbaganyya mountain near the Mutnovsky volcano, where our guests will see huge black-capped marmots.

Day 10. July 21, 2020. Trekking on Mutnovsky volcano
Transfer (about 1 hour) to the foot of Mutnovsky volcano (2323 m), which is considered one of the most beautiful and interesting on Kamchatka. It has a complex and unusual structure. Its sides are surrounded by sheer cliffs. An ice stream goes from its summit and powerful steam jets go through its cracks. The volcano shows intensive and various activity. Here you can see fumaroles, surrounded acid-yellow rounds of sulphur crystals, mud boilers with black water, geyser and amazing craters.
Our way goes to the heart of volcano. Ascent to fumarole field takes about 1.5-2 hours. Observation of sulphuric boilers and volcano craters with visit of "active swirl" - about 4 hours. Descent - 1.5. Watching Opasny (Dangerous) canyon, into which a 80-meters waterfall falls on. After dinner optional visiting ice caves and mains or bathing in the termal spring with a smashing mountainous view.

Day 11. July 22, 2020. Transfer to Avachinsky volcano and Verblyud (Camel) mountain
After breakfast, transfer (about 5 hours) to the foot of Avachinsky (2741 m) and Koryaksky (3456 m) volcanos. Avachinsky volcano is one of the most visited volcanoes of Kamchatka.
After lunch an easy walk to Verblyud (Camel) mountain (1300 m) and meeting local habitants – bering gopher. Kamchatka people call them evrazhka. These small animals are very friendly and will be glad to take meals from you. In the evening Russian banya (steam bath) and dinner.

Day 12. July 23, 2020. Ascent to Avachinsky volcano
After breakfast, ascent to Avachinsky volcano (2741 m). Meeting sunrise on the mountain.
Ascension takes about 5-6 hours. Distance is 9 km, elevation change is 1900 m. 1-2 hours for a walk on the edge of the crater about 400 m in diameter. The crater is filled with lava of 1991 and has numerous fumaroles. The walls of the crater are colored in bright yellow and red. In clear weather, one of the best views in Kamchatka opens from here.
Descent takes about 3-4 hours. Returning to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (way time 1.5-2 hours) in the guest house that we already love or hotel "Comfort". Crab party!

Day 13. July 24, 2020. Returning hom Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. On the way visiting fish market, where you should buy Kamchatka delicacies: salmon caviar, crab, red fish and flounder.

С 27 июня по 12 июля были на Камчатке с Mzungu Expeditions . Это уже далеко не первое наше путешествие с ними, но первое в таком большом составе.

Путешествовали всей семьей. Возраст участников от 4 лет до 78. С нами были три гида- водителя, биолог-эколог и фотограф.
Скажу сразу: Камчатка это не про комфорт, это про эмоции, потрясающие виды, про единение с природой, про настоящий отдых без толпы и без связи.
Мы очень много путешествуем и нас сложно уже чем-то удивить. Но Камчатка зацепила и до сих пор не отпускает. Детям было очень интересно. С ними занималась очаровательная биолог-эколог Арина Александровна Шурыгина и фотограф Мария Колосова (Maria Kolosova) . Дети вели дневники, рисовали растения, которые им показывала Арина. В конце были викторины, те кто больше всего запомнили фактов о Камчатке, получали призы.
Поездка состояла из трех частей: Вулканы, медведи Курильского озера и путешествие на катере в Тихом океане.
Вулканы-это головокружительные виды, бурлящие фумаролы и фантастические цвета. Захватывающее катание на снегоходах. Ну и конечно затяжной спуск на попе по снегу с Авачинского вулкана. Щенячий восторг😝
Курильское озеро-это медведи!!!! на расстоянии 5 метров, запеченые на костре бананы с шоколадом и уха из нерки.
Тихий океан-это серфинг, баня, рыбалка, сашими, касатки, сивучи, каланы и ощущение полной свободы.
Для детей есть два минуса: это перестройка на новый часовой пояс (разница 9 часов), взрослые быстрее и легче адаптируются и есть два длинных переезда (6-8 часов) по бездорожью. Наш самый младший (4 года) может спать в любых условиях, поэтому мы перенесли все это достаточно легко. Плюс всю дорогу его развлекали гиды. Отдельное спасибо гиду-водителю Игорю, который носился с ним большую часть времени. И за руль сажал, и в войнушку играл и на себе катал.
На время длительных переходов и сложных подъемов дети и дедушка оставали в базовом лагере с двумя гидами. Девочки (9 и 10 лет) оставались только один раз, когда мы поднимались на воротник Авачинского вулкана. На Мутновский и Горелый вулканы ходили со всеми.
Нам очень повезло с погодой и комарами:) Дождь был один день на Курильском озере. Комаров было очень мало. Репеленты прекрасно помогали.
Много купались в термальных источниках. На Камчатку нужно обязательно брать с собой быстросохнущее полотенце и по 2 купальника. Вещи не всегда успевают высохнуть, а купаться то хочется😉
Конечно же все это путешествие не было бы столь увлекательным без нашего гида Максим Фесюнов (Maxim Fesyunov) . Он знает о Камчатке всё! Максим виртуозно решал все возникшие проблемы, исполнял все наши хотелки.
Отдельное ему спасибо за розыск и доставку нашего багажа, который благодаря шереметьево не прилетел вместе с нами.
Макс как электровеник суетился практически без сна и отдыха. В какой то момент мне даже казалось, что он упадет без сил, но нет, у камчатских гидов видимо есть какой то тайный генератор.😉
