Day 1. August 25. Petrozavodsk - rafting on the Shuya river
Meeting the group at the railway station of the city of Petrozavodsk until 9:30 am. Breakfast at the Fusion cafe. Around 10:30 departure for rafting on the Shuya river. Transfer to the starting point of the rafting, Hauttavaara village (120 km from Petrozavodsk, about 2-2.5 hours on the way)
Preparation of equipment for the rafting. Safety briefing and packing of things.
After lunch in the field, start rafting down the Shuya River. Shuya is one of the most popular rivers in Karelia with a length of about 200 km. We will have a three-day rafting on Shuya, we will pass the rapids of the upper reaches of the river, get a lot of pleasure and healthy adrenaline! The route will be interesting for both experienced water enthusiasts and beginners. The rafting is carried out under the guidance of an experienced instructor who will ensure its safety. Subject to all safety instructions and rules of conduct on the water, the rafting does not pose a danger to human life and health.
Rafting down the Shuya river (14 km), passing the rapids and rapids "Sizovsky", "Dog". The rafting takes about 4-5 hours.
Camping and dinner in the field. Hiking bath on the river bank. Overnight in tents.

Day 2. August 26. Rafting on the Shuya river
After breakfast, packing up the camp. Continuation of rafting down the Shuya River (27 km), bypassing the Ignolskaya HPP dam. Lunch in the field.
Continuation of the rafting. Passing the Kenyaikoski rapids (3rd category of difficulty) - according to the readiness of the group (the decision is made by the instructor), the Valoine rapids, the Ostrovnoy rapids. The total rafting time is 6-7 hours.
Today we will enjoy the nature of the Russian North. In summer there are many mushrooms and northern berries. Shuya is a salmon spawning ground.
Camping and dinner in the field. Hiking bath. Overnight in tents.

Day 3.August 27. Rafting on the Shuya River - Petrozavodsk
Breakfast and collection of the camp. Rafting on the Shuya river, passing the Kumeo rapids, rafting to the Sodder rapids (16 km, about 4 hours). Lunch / snack in the field. Collection of equipment, things.
Transfer to Petrozavodsk to the hotel (2 hours on the way) and check-in at the Onega Castle Hotel (or the Prionezhsky Hotel).

Day 4. August 28. Ruskeala mountain park
After breakfast, departure from Petrozavodsk (from the hotel) by bus to Ruskeala marble canyon (260 km). Stop at the Cross of Sorrow: the first monument in Russia dedicated to the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.
Stop at the Tokhma waterfalls. In the picturesque place of Ruskeala, the Tohma River splits into three independent mesmerizing waterfalls. In this place, scenes of the Soviet film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" were filmed. (Eco-trail above the waterfalls for an additional fee). Walking tour of Ruskeala marble canyon (1.5 hours).
The 1.5-kilometer eco-trail around Ruskeala has many panoramic platforms that offer views of this unique place and the lake with emerald water. In your free time there will be an opportunity for additional services: zip-line, underground route "Ruskeala Proval", buying souvenirs, lunch in a cafe.
Departure to Petrozavodsk in the evening. On the way back, you can stop at the shores of Lake Ladoga - the largest lake in Europe, a beautiful place with picturesque views. Arrival at the hotel in Petrozavodsk.

Day 5. August 29. Kizhi island
Breakfast and departure from the hotel to the river station. Departure by boat from Petrozavodsk (river station) to Kizhi island (1.5 hours).
Kizhi Island is the most visited and recognizable place in Karelia. The Kizhi Museum-Reserve, located on the island, is the center of traditional peasant culture of the Russian North, one of the largest and most famous open-air museums in Russia. Carefully and painstakingly, scientists and masters of wooden architecture for many years brought here monuments of architecture, icon painting and household items that were created in Karelian, Vepsian and Russian villages over the centuries.
Acquaintance with the monuments of wooden architecture: old houses built according to a special type - "house-purse", barns, mills and, of course, the world-famous northern temples. The center of the famous ensemble of the Kizhi Pogost is the 22-domed Church of the Transfiguration, covered with many legends. In the neighboring Church of the Intercession, you can see the preserved masterpieces of Karelian icon painting. The guide will show and tell you about the ancient 14th century church of the Resurrection of Lazarus of Murom.
The Kizhi Pogost, consisting of the Transfiguration, Pokrovskaya churches and a bell tower, has stood on the island for over 300 years. The greatest monument of wooden architecture, originally built by local craftsmen, according to legend, without a single nail. Hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world come to the museum to admire this ensemble - a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.
Excursion around the Kizhi island for about 2-2.5 hours. There will also be an opportunity to take a photo in the preserved interior of a peasant house, where they will demonstrate traditional Karelian crafts, walk and enjoy the amazing bell ringing over the island. After the excursion, free time, enjoying nature, photographing, lunch at will.
After lunch, departure by boat from about. Kizhi. After arriving in Petrozavodsk at the river station, transfer to the hotel. Time for rest / dinner.
At 19:30 - 20 hours departure from the hotel to the railway station of Petrozavodsk. Departure of trains to Moscow at 21:00 or St. Petersburg at 22.40
