Day 1. April 29, 2023 (May 9, 2023). AKTAU - TIRAMISU VALLEY - BOZZHYRA TRACT
Morning arrival in Aktau. Meeting with the team and breakfast at the airport.
From Aktau we go for adventures and leave the civilization. There is a long way to the South, we will drive about 300 km to the most remote part of our expedition, but at the same time to one of the most beautiful places in Mangystau.
Our first location is the Tiramisu Valley. The locals called it so because these striped hills look like a huge piece of dessert. For us experienced travelers, it reminds us of something in between The Wave Canyon in Arizona and the Rainbow Mountains in Peru. Here we'll stay for a couple of hours (snacks from lunchboxes). After the striped valley we'll make our way to "Kazakh Arizona" - Bozzhyra.
Arriving at our camp at Bozzhyra - the most epic place in Mangystau. Our camp will be fully set up by this time and a hot dinner from the chef will be waiting for guests.
Fall sunsets in this area come at seven o'clock, so we have time to spend each evening talking around the campfire, singing along to the guitar, and playing games.

Day 2. April 30, 2023 (May 10, 2023). ASCENT TO THE FANGS OF BOZZHIRA - "THE DRAGON'S RIDGE " MOUNTAIN
Before breakfast you can take pictures of the Bozzhira cliffs at sunrise. Today is an important day. Today we will climb Bozzhira and meet its fangs face to face. We are going to have hard hiking on smooth ledges of the mountain, and in less than an hour we will climb to the most epic viewpoint of Mangystau. Euphoria in your blood, "wow" every 3 minutes and the most unique travel pics are guaranteed.
After taking pictures, enjoying the views and thinking about the great things, we go down to the camp, rest, have lunch and gain energy for the evening drive and walk to Dragon Ridge - another picturesque mountain with sharp scallop-like teeth.
At the camp we will have tasty dinner and sleep in the tents, and for those who like night photo shooting we organize illumination with long-range lamps to light the rocks for the epic shots.

Day 3. May 1, 2023 (May 11, 2023). BOZZHIRA - TUZBAYIR SALT MARSH - CHALK CANYON
Everybody who wants to see sunrise on Bozzhira and take beautiful pictures wake up early with sunrise.
After breakfast we drive out to Bozzhira viewpoint, where the whole tract opens to us in a new perspective. From here we can see the yurt mountains, which can be beautifully captured with a long lens. Saying goodbye to Bozzhira, we set off for another, no less epic location, Sor Tuzbayir. A few hours on the steppe roads along the white chinks and the great wasteland, and we will find ourselves in a world of white chalk mountains and canyons, in one of which we will set up our camp.

Day 4. May 2, 2023 (May 12, 2023). CHALK CANYON - WHITE ARCH - TUZBAYIR SOLONCHAK
Today we don't hurry and spend the whole day in this amazing place with its chalky rocks, lost canyons and white sorrel reaching the horizon. After waking up and eating breakfast, we head to one of our favorite canyons, where we'll see how water and wind churn out the chalk walls and give them a fabulous look. The most diligent will be able to find rock with imprints of ammonites and sea urchins that are several tens of millions years old. When the sun rises higher, Tuzbair will show us one of its secret locations, the Elephant Arch. There are similar arches in the US, Arizona, but nowhere else as wild, untouristy, and white-washed as this! Everyone will take home a cool picture of this place and keep its location a secret.
We are going back to the camp for dinner, and in the evening before sunset we are going to search and discover a new canyon. And for sunset time we'll go out to the salt marsh and do the photo session there.

Day 5. May 3, 2023 (May 13, 2023). SOR TUZBAYIR - SPHINX ROCK - YBYCTY CANYON - AIRAKTY CASTLE VALLEY - TORYSH BALL VALLEY
Today we wake up early, because we have several amazing locations on our list of places to visit, and we have to go everywhere. First we drive out to the viewpoint of Tuzbayir sora, where we look down on the white valley. After saying goodbye, we head to Sphinx Rock to look for ancient shark teeth and other remains of creatures of dinosaur age at the bottom. Some will be lucky enough to take home a real relic, and some will make a wish to return here again. Next we move to Ybykty Canyon, the same one that resembles Antelope Canyon in the US.
After enjoying lunch at the canyon, we drive on and before sunset we arrive at the valley of the Airakty castles, there are remains of chinks resembling ancient structures everywhere.
After watching the sunset on Airakty, we hurry to our camp, which is located in the valley of Torysh balls. But we will get there in the dark, so the mysterious round giants will seem even more fabulous in the headlights.

Day 6. May 4, 2023 (May 14, 2023). THE VALLEY OF TORYSH BALLS - THE UNDERGROUND MOSQUE SHAKPAK-ATA - THE "FALLEN EARTH" ZHYGYLGYN
Today we wake up early because the wonders have already woken up before us!
We leave our tents and watch the sunrise while the team is cooking a delicious breakfast. We head out to the enormous pool table, the Torysh Ball Nodule Valley. Scientists are still arguing about their origin, and the locals tell many legends.
After breakfast we will have another walk among the spheres and have a look into a small underground mosque, and then we will return to the camp, where the cars will be waiting for us, ready to move. Today is also a busy day, and if we don't loose our schedule we will drive to the most beautiful underground mosque of Mangistau - Shakpak-Ata, carved in the chalky rock. You will not believe your eyes, but nature itself created these fabulous walls with thousands of holes! There is no dress code at the entrance, but it is better not to be in the temple in short shorts and skirts, shirts and dresses with open shoulders. Take a long headscarf to cover your bare body and a turban on your head for atmospheric photos!
We will spend about half an hour here and then we will drive on. About an hour drive and we will see how nature can create chaos that is mesmerizing. In front of us is the ancient tectonic landslide Zhygylgan, which means "fallen earth" in Kazakh. We will take a few pictures on the steep ledges and immediately head down to explore these mazes of ruins.
When we come down, we'll have lunch and go to discover new lands. Zhygylgan hides many secrets. Let's see how many secrets it will show us on this two-hour trekking trip. After returning back to the cars, we'll hit the road, and if we make it in time, we'll see the sun dipping into the sea. Grandpa Caspian is waiting for us.
We move to our camp on the beach.

Day 7. May 5, 2023 (May 15, 2023). CASPIAN SEA
Our camp is right on the seashore among the picturesque shell rocks and snow-white beaches, it is hard to believe that this can happen here in the harsh steppes, but this is not a dream.
In the plans: rest, swimming in the sea, sunbathing, exploration of the coastline.
The rest of the day is free software.
We meet the sunset on the shore of the largest lake in the world, and after sunset photography we will have a dinner, a farewell fire and the final night in tents under the rustle of the waves and fairy tales of the Caspian Sea.

Day 8. May 6, 2023 (May 16, 2023). CASPIAN SEA - AKTAU
On the final day in the golden morning light we create the final photographic masterpieces. Someone can swim or just sunbathe again, and those who like to sleep - finally get a good night's sleep.
Late breakfast, packing and after dinner we go back to Aktau.
And there: tears, sincere confessions, hugs and promises to return here again.
