We invite you on a journey into the innermost essence of Tibet.

We will encounter eternity: marvel at the impregnable Potala Palace, immerse ourselves in the meditative atmosphere of the Drepung, Sera and Drak Yerpa monasteries, and take a stroll by Yamdrok-Tso lake. It is said that its waters were created by the will of the great teacher Padmasambhava. The roads will reveal to us views of the colossal Karola Glacier—the silent guardian of high-mountain passes — and the world’s deepest canyon, Yarlung Tsangpo.

See Everest with your own eyes by visiting Everest Base Camp. This is one of the most accessible yet extreme viewpoints in the world, offering legendary views of the north face of Mount Everest.

And most importantly, we will walk the kora around Kailash and wash our faces in the sacred Lake Manasarovar.
Believers of four religions—Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers—consider Kailash the "heart of the world," the "axis of the earth." Kailash is Mount Meru, located in the center of the Himalayas, with a unique geographical location in the center of the Tibetan Plateau, where the Karnali (which flows into the Ganges), Indus, Sutlej, and Brahmaputra rivers originate. The pilgrimage to the mountain and its sacred circumambulation—the kora around Kailash—is one of the most important pilgrimages in Tibet.

We will be not merely observers but guests: we will get acquainted with local traditions and taste the true flavor of Tibet. This journey, where the gold of temple relics echoes the sun-kissed glaciers, and prayer flags flutter in the wind beside the silent surface of the lake, will be an immersion into the very essence of the "Roof of the World."

Day 2. May 2, 2027 (Sunday). DRAK YERPA TEMPLE COMPLEX AND SERAH MONASTERY

Today we will visit the unique holy sites of Lhasa. After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the Drak Yerpa temple complex. This site is located at an altitude of approximately 4,500 meters above sea level and is known for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. Drak Yerpa contains ancient caves where Tibetan yogis and Dalai Lamas meditated, and we will ascend to them. In Tibetan Buddhism, there is the concept of "terma." It is believed that both Buddha Shakyamuni and Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, understood that the consciousness of their contemporaries was not ready to accommodate the full scope of Buddhist truths. Therefore, they laid down the foundations for the future—terma—texts, relics, and revelations to be discovered by future generations. Sometimes they are discovered in stones, sometimes they appear in meditation or dreams. Accordingly, the spiritual status of a place is determined by the number of termas found.

This is similar to the Christian tradition of venerating the places and dates of the appearances of saints. For example, in Portugal there is the city of Fatima, near which the apparitions of the Virgin Mary took place, so for all Catholics it is one of the most revered places to visit.
This complex is associated with Songtsen Gampo, the first king of Tibet. It is believed that King Songtsen Gampo and his two queens stayed here to meditate. In the cave, they discovered the famous termas—self-developing symbols of the Buddha's body, speech, and mind—as well as numerous terma objects around Yerpa, including the famous ritual dagger Sera. After visiting the complex, we will have lunch. After lunch, we will transfer to Sera Monastery, an important center for Buddhist study. The monastery's architecture is impressive: high white walls adorned with prayer flags, majestic temple buildings, and academic buildings. It is known for its lively monastic debates, where monks discuss Buddhist philosophy in a dramatic and engaging manner. These debates are a unique part of Tibetan monastic training.
Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3. May 3, 2027 (Monday). POTALA PALACE AND JOKHANG TEMPLE

After breakfast, transfer to the Potala Palace, Lhasa's main attraction. It is a royal palace and Buddhist temple complex. It is located on a high hill overlooking the city. The palace was the primary residence of the Dalai Lamas until the Fourteenth Dalai Lama fled to India following the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959. Today, the Potala Palace is a museum that attracts many tourists every year.
After lunch, we'll visit the Jokhang Temple, one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in Tibet and the most revered site in Lhasa. The Jokhang Temple is a majestic building with golden roofs and walls adorned with frescoes and precious stones. Inside, the temple contains numerous statues, altars, and other religious artifacts. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our visit to this temple continues the story of the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo, who began construction of this complex in 639.
The wife of the Tibetan Tang Dynasty king Wencheng explored the area using geomancy, a technique related to feng shui based on observing patterns in natural phenomena. It can be said that this knowledge draws on astronomy, astrology, medicine, bioenergetics, and landscape science, aimed at selecting the most suitable location for specific buildings or burial sites. The princess identified the site of the future temple with the body of a huge demoness. The lake represented her genitals, and her heart, the site of the current Potala Temple.
The king ordered the lake that was then on this site to be drained and a temple to be built, along with stupas and monasteries to be built around it to keep the demoness safe for those around her. The temple buildings served as a kind of restraint, preventing the demoness from committing evil. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4. May 4, 2027 (Tuesday). LAKE YAM DRUK TSO — KARO-LA PASS — SHIGADZE

Early in the morning, we'll set off for the sacred Yamdruk-tso Lake, one of Tibet's three main lakes, at 4,488 meters. The lake is located in a remote and inaccessible area, making it even more mysterious and attractive to pilgrims. The lake is round and considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Tibet. Its waters are renowned for their purity and transparency. We'll then cross the Karo-La Pass, near which an impressive glacier descends.
Along the way, we'll visit a local Tibetan family, where we'll enjoy lunch with traditional dishes and learn about the local way of life. Local dishes include tsampa, chapale, thukpa, and yak butter tea.
By evening, we arrive in Shigatse, the capital of the Panchen Lamas and the second largest city in Tibet. We visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional residence of the Panchen Lama, the second most important spiritual leader in the Gelugpa hierarchy after the Dalai Lama.

The summit straddles the border between Nepal and China (Tibet Autonomous Region).
Next, we'll travel to Everest Base Camp (5,200 m), where we can appreciate the mountain's scale and the rugged atmosphere of the highlands. The camp serves as the main starting point for climbers attempting Everest from the north side. After our stop, we'll descend back to the valley for lunch.

Along the way, views of Shishapangma (8,027 m) open up—the only eight-thousander located entirely within China. Next, we stop at picturesque Pelku Tso Lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and endless plains. We encounter nomads, herds of yaks, and prayer cairns. In the evening, we arrive in Saga, the gateway to Western Tibet, where there are hotels, shops, and cafes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7. May 7, 2027 (Friday). SAGA - LAKE MANASAROVAR - DARCHEN

Nearby is Lake Rakshas Tal, known for its rugged landscapes and legends. The lakes are connected by an underground channel, symbolizing the balance of light and darkness. They present a striking contrast: the fresh, life-giving Manasarovar ("living water") and the salty, lifeless Rakshas Tal ("dead water"), symbolizing the unity of opposites. We'll have lunch along the way.
After a rest by the water, we'll have lunch and drive to Darchen, a village at the foot of Kailash. Check into a hotel, have dinner, and prepare for the upcoming kora around Kailash.

An early start at dawn. The path ascends to the sacred Drolma-La pass (5,630 m)—the main and highest geographical and spiritual point of the 52-kilometer Kora trek around sacred Mount Kailash. This is the most important day of the Kora; crossing the pass in the Kailash mandala symbolizes rebirth and cleansing from the attachments and obscurations of a previous life.
At the summit, the pass is decorated with thousands of colorful prayer flags, and next to it is the sacred high-altitude lake Gaurikund (Green Lake), which is often covered in ice. After a short rest, we descend past Lake Gaurikund to Zutul Puk Monastery (4,800 m). The monastery's main shrine is the Milarepa Cave. According to legend, the great Tibetan yogi and poet Milarepa meditated and performed miracles here. We spend the night in a simple house, have dinner, and relax by the stove.
