We will go to the coldest point of the Northern Hemisphere - to the "Pole of Cold", where we will meet Chyskhan, the lord of the Yakut Cold.
We will make a real expedition and reach Oymyakon, the coldest inhabited place on the planet, test ourselves as a musher of dog sleds and, of course, see the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the unique national park of Yakutia "Lena Pillars".

Day 1. January 4, 2023. Arrival in Yakutsk. Yakutsk – Khandyga
Morning arrival in Yakutsk (no later than 9 am). Meeting at the Yakutsk airport and departure to the east towards Oymyakon. The route passes through four ulus (districts): Megino-Kangalassky, Churapchinsky, Tattinsky, Tomponsky.
There are two ice crossings along the route: an ice crossing over the Lena River near Yakutsk and across the Aldan River.
The village Khandyga is the center of the industrial region "Tomponsky Ulus". From the river Aldan, on which the village is located, the former territory of Dalstroy begins "- GULAG.
This part of the road is rich with sculptures that are located along the road. This is a sculpture of the the Yakut epic hero Nyurgun Botur, sculpture "Collection of Birds" and others. An interesting sculpture "Shaman" is located at a distance from the main road. A visit is possible if a road was made and kept in an acceptable condition in the winter season. Stops for taking photos, videos.

Day 2. January 5, 2023. Through the mountain ranges to the village of Yuchyugiai
The route passes through the Tomporuk, Rocky Mountains and Suntar Hayata ridges. Stops for taking photos and videos in the areas of Sotka, Tomporuk Ridge, Shaman Stream, Swallow's Nest, Cherny Prizhim, Devil's Gate rock, bridge of the river Kyubyama.
Upon arrival in the Yuchyugiai village, dinner and overnight at the guest house.
The length of the day route is 431 kilometers, the travel time is 9-10 hours.

Days 3 – 4. January 6 – 7, 2023. Expedition to Oymyakon on reindeer sleds
Route: Yuchyugiai village - Oymyakon village (40 km).
Travel with extreme elements (a real reindeer expedition) and overnight in the middle of the way in a heated tent.
The journey ends in the village of Oymyakon on the Stella of Cold. Oymyakon is the coldest inhabited place on the planet. Winter temperatures here often drop below minus 60 degrees Celsius.
Cultural program, including a ceremony and ethno-musical performances.

The length of the daily route is 20 kilometers, the hike takes 3-4 hours per day.

Day 5. January 8, 2023. Exploring Oymyakon – The Pole of Cold of the Earth
Obtaining a certificate of visiting the Pole of Cold at the Stele of Cold.
Visit to the Indigirka River (optional swimming in the non-freezing section of the river).
Cold Chips program, experiments with cold.
Transfer from Oymyakon to Tomtor.
Excursion to the Ice Residence of Chyskhan - the lord of the Yakut Cold.
The residence is located in an artificial cave inside a rocky mountain, where each branch has its own theme of ice sculptures.
Bath in the evening.
Overnight at the guest house in Tomtor village.

Day 6. January 9, 2023. Tomtor - Khandyga and the Arctic Fox Tail waterfall
The tributaries of the Eastern Khandyga River, along which the road runs, are full of beautiful waterfalls. One of them, called Arctic Fox Tail, has a height of 29 meters. The waterfall is located 4 kilometers from the road. The trail to the waterfall goes along a narrow gorge, cramped on both sides by rocks.
Upon arrival in Khandyga, dinner and overnight at the guest house.

Day 7. January 10, 2023. Khandyga – Yakutsk
Before the trip, visit the museum of the village of Khandyga, which is also rich in exhibits from the GULAG camps.
On the way, drive to the village of Megino-Aldan to visit a miniature copy of the Eiffel Tower and to the village of Walba to see sculptures made of biological materials.
Arrival in Yakutsk and check-in at the Alaas hotel.

Day 8. January 11, 2023. Lena Pillars National Park
A trip to Lena Pillars, the unique national park of Yakutia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, visit the rock carvings left by ancient people in the Bronze Age.
Crossing to the Lena Pillars in one of two options (depending on the actual situation):
Option 1: by the end of February, a snowmobile crossing,
Option 2: from the end of February to the end of the winter season by car.
Climbing the Observation Deck.
Return to Yakutsk to the hotel.

After breakfast, at 11 am departure to the hill. Briefing. Start of the dog sledding trip. Everyone can try to be a musher, independently driving a dog sled.

At the end of the trip, return to the city and visit the fish market.
